Through this initiative, non-profits gain valuable support from volunteers eager to contribute their time and talents during flexible 90-hour placements — helping organizations amplify their impact and advance their mission
Participants are coming directly from The Career Foundation’s Youth Thrive program. The Youth Thrive Program under the Canada Service Corps (CSC) is dedicated to creating, promoting, and facilitating access to volunteer service opportunities that are meaningful to youth.
For the Regional Program all non-profit partners must come from the following locations within the GTA:
- Toronto proper
- Etobicoke
- North York
- Scarborough
If you are outside of these regions but still within Ontario, or you are within Nova Scotia, Alberta or BC, please visit the National Program.
Volunteers
Partnering with the Canada Service Corps (CSC) as a placement host organization offers numerous benefits that can help your non-profit thrive while making a significant impact on youth and communities across Canada.
Each placement will be a minimum of 90hrs per volunteer and a minimum of three months long, with flexibility to extend that timeline. You may be able to complete multiple short-term projects within this time frame or one longer and more comprehensive project. The TCF team will help you determine what is best for your needs during your introductory meeting.
Benefits of Becoming a CSC Host Organization:
- Expand Your Reach: Engage with a diverse network of youth volunteers eager to contribute to your mission. This can help you reach new audiences and expand your impact
- Enhance Organizational Capacity: Gain additional resources and support through CSC’s network, allowing you to take on larger projects and initiatives that might otherwise be beyond your capacity
- Foster Community Engagement: Strengthen your ties with the community by involving local youth in your projects. This not only benefits the community but also helps build a culture of service and civic engagement
- Develop Future Leaders: Play a crucial role in shaping the next generation of leaders by providing them with valuable skills and experiences. Your organization can help youth develop leadership, teamwork, and problem-solving skills
